My problem is I cant get it to recognise my D2028 laser module. Im even made a baseplate for it and I cant get it to work. The lack of a baseplate to stand on just makes everything slightly more difficult, the laser is not even the slightest bit near the maximum distance from the bed although thats not to say there isnt a possibility to get it closer I just have not tried. Also my download of VCarve doenst seem to work properly when you load it up it says that it loads but when you get to the main toolbar it doesnt change. This never happened with other software that Ive purchased in the past, anyone else have this problem.
I tried the Vitamini method on and off over the last week. In theory I know it should work – in fact the instructions say “basic” not basic, basic as in a basic level 0. I found myself spending more time trying to get the laser to work than getting it to use the axis I was setting up. I am still looking for any answers on Vcarve forums and on the Vectric support. I am always willing to take what ever method you can suggest. I am happy with 1 axis, 2 axes and now 3 but if that path doesnt work in the vitamini method I would be willing to settle for it. But if there is any other way possible I would be willing to try again. I have gone through the module and the allmost all backlight is broken but some of it works. There are a few works the counter and some of the buttons on the module. I will say again that I am not a programmer. I am just looking for the best way to get the laser working. Any suggestion or help is greatly appreciated.
I’ve gone through many things over the last two months. Many people suggested the use of the USB rather than the serial. Since I tried that last week I finally found out how to do a USB breakout board to connect one to a computer and I’ve been using it for an hour and finally getting it to work with VCarve. My last problem was getting it working with the Laser module (which runs on USB). I’ve tried everything and nothing is working. I would like to know if there is anything else I can do to get this working?
