after being one of the league’s most consistent teams a season ago, the falcons lost star receiver calvin ridley to a season-ending knee injury in week 10. now, atlanta is counting on second-year pro k’lavon chaisson to step up in the absence of ridley, as the falcons will play their first game of the regular season without one of the top three receivers in the nfl. if atlanta is going to be successful this season, it will have to find a way to replace ridley’s production. the falcons will need chaisson to improve from his rookie season and become a better fit for his new scheme. they also will need him to improve from a 92.8 passer rating as a rookie to an average of 80.

it’s rare for a player to go from the manning-brady era to the elway-manning era, but that’s precisely what could be on the horizon for broncos quarterback trevor siemian. despite a strong start to his rookie season, siemian was benched in favor of paxton lynch in a week 10 loss to the titans.
