Spirit Roots is an epic adventure that draws you into the intriguing story of the Stitched-Together Planet.
Long ago, on the outskirts of a small, but undoubtedly very warlike star system, armed conflict raged for a hundred years among the system’s inhabitants. The fighting was so fierce that in the end only one small piece remained of each of the planets. At that point the inhabitants of all of the planets decided that they would have to stop fighting in order to survive. And so they stitched together the remaining pieces of their worlds into one large planet with a single, absolute condition: no one could violate anyone else’s borders. But what happens when someone breaks this rule? Let’s find out!

Yesterdays:

.the1st is a beautiful nostalgic hand drawn RPG adventure game, inspired by JRPG’s like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger.

.it’s entertaining, full of charm, lovely hand drawn-art by Aaron Bepwil and music by Anthony Sannipap.

.played my first RPG and first indie-game in one.

.it’s a bit difficult at times, but also very addictive, especially because of the witty dialogue, lore-bits, battle-system and the characters.

.I really hope to have even more quirky, charming characters, then this.and it will become one of the finest games I’ve ever played.

.Welcome to the Mountain

Hello, welcome to the new blog we’ve been working on.

.For those of you who don’t know us, we’re Aaron Bepwil, from the Netherlands, Daniela Tielman, the main designer of the game, and Anthony Sannipap, the composer.

.The first Terrarium Land was a success because of the cool atmosphere, the concept and the actors.

.So we’ve decided to go in two new directions:

.first we want to make a 3rd person RPG in an area, and have a lot of freedom with that area,

.we want to create the characters in a different way, with more out-of-place jokes, and they have to face a lot of obstacles on their way to get the answers they need.

.The different perspective will bring some problems of course.

.Some questions may arise:

.aesthetically:

.I have lots of experience with 3d games, and when we started creating Terrarium Land we started with 2d games.

.this was to be as faithful as possible to the classic JRPG-styl.

.but Terrarium Land doesn’t have a single 3d-model for the characters.
