This prog will search for Unicode strings but this might be a little buggy (eg: it does not support Greek strings)… It’s kind of a always-will-be-beta version… DO NOT FORGET TO BACKUP THE “VICTIM”!!! It’s almost sure that you will mess up the first time…

Hi, I’m using Cracked StringAttack! With Keygen to replace some strings in an application that gives free access to other people, and even when the app does not ask for login/password and the target string has no special characters, the strings will always be replaced by blank spaces.
I use English and a little bit of Spanish, so I had a look in the installed langpacks to see if the replaced strings were still correct (and still weren’t).
In Spanish, the replaced string does not have a space at the end but in the beginning, that has been replaced by an empty space that does not look right. It does not do it for me in English, but I have another person to test it.
I think I’ll be using VBScript to fix the problem, although I know this application can’t be abused (what if the users make it read a menu and replace it with malicious code? It’s not a common program).

I think I’ll try in a different way first (perhaps I’m just mad at it, but I don’t want to ask others, for testing purposes, to see if it was malicious).
Do you think a dictionary attack would be harder, and maybe make the replaced string more tricky? I would need to replace all words the app finds in a text file in another application.

I also tried to find the replaced string in the program’s code, and was able to locate it, but it’s not the same one I use with StringAttack! Crack Keygen

It will find the string specified in the input box and it will replace the string. If the string it was looking for was not found, the application will give the opportunity to the user to specify a new string.
Basic Features:
The user can define how many times the string must be found, what string to search for (file name, string or code), the string that will be replaced, where to save the result and the user can change the application option (to output the file content as is, with the replaced string or to replace all the strings).

This version is in alpha and is really buggy and probably will not work 100% in every case, but I will fix it soon.
How to use:
Put your victim EXE into the ZIP archive and run the program. StringAttack! will search the victim EXE for the specified string, and if it finds it, it will replace it.
If you need to replace a Unicode string, do not forget to use the Unicode Hex Format, Unicode Code Point or some other format. If not, this app will find the string in the wrong format and it will mess up your strings.
The best way to find the strings is with a Hex Editor, or use this program:

StringAttack! is a very experimental application, it is under development and probably will not work 100%. It was intended to be used by programmers and hackers only. It is not to be used to invade anybody’s computer, even if it is your own.
Future versions of StringAttack! will have improved performance and bug-fixing.
