Tried all the above… Creative either doesn’t support the solution (SPDIF bypass) or doesn’t allow it.
I’m trying to get the Logitech z5500 to play thru the front-panel controls on my Audigy SE, but it’s a -=long-shot…
Oh, and am running Vista home premium 32 bit.
I’m using a Sony Vaio laptop and XP sound card. I’m missing a surround slider and I don’t seem to have the ability to adjust volume above the mixer controls on the headphone out side of the sound card. I’m fairly certain this is a Creative Signature solution for surround and I purchased the Audigy SE to replace a defunct Sony card that we were running before I bought the SR. The old card worked perfectly with my headphones. My headset has an optical plug. How do I get this thing set up?
I have an Audigy Platinum Pro SE I bought in 2004. I only recently bought a headset due to hearing loss. When I try and play music, it’s all fuzzy. It’s really frustrating, and the previous owners of the computer warned me this is what was going to happen when I upgraded to Vista.
I have an Audigy Platinum Pro SE. It worked fine under Vista, and I recently tried installing the latest Creative driver for the Platinum, and it was recognized, but none of the controls worked. The lowest PCM volume was around 80%, which was about as low as it got. I’ve tried lowering the PCM volume to around 20%, which still is too high.
Any ideas?
So it seems that the Audigy soundcard has an older version of the drivers.. I have a Creative Audigy VX 7.1 so I downloaded the Creative Audigy SE drivers that that seemed to match the hardware.
i have the drivers for the audigy 4 and the audigy 2 platinum se and there are one or two that are not in the drivers that are in the audigy 4 series. it does not say why these are not there but if you need them, how can they be downloaded?
i can’t get the soundblaster drivers to install on my audigy 4 card. if anyone out there has the original installer cd for the audigy 4 then plz. send me a link. (also if anyone knows how to get the serial number of my audigy 4 plz let me know)
i need the original drivers for the soundblaster audigy se card. i have looked and looked and searched the net but all i can find are drivers for the audigy 4 and 2, mine are the audigy se. i was told to contact creative support but when i have asked them for the drivers they cannot help. they give me dummy programs that dont work. can anyone help me. i need to get this card to work. have emailed creative support but no one is helpful. plz let me know if anyone can help.
i need original soundblaster drivers for my audigy platinum 4. creative removed them for some reason without making a new driver and released generic drivers. i have to have the original set of the drivers from the cd.
i have the drivers installed on my audigy4 for windows xp and vista. but all that comes is s/pdif out on the front panel. i want to connect to my pioneer av receiver (connects to the rear panel spdif out). does anyone have the drivers for audigy4 for windows xp and vista?
daniel kawakami has just posted an updated installation cd for audigy series on the creative user forums. the cd has been compiled for windows 2000, windows xp, windows server 2003, windows vista 32bit and windows vista 64bit. hes put a lot effort in, and produced a great multi language installer. ill try and arrange some alternative file hosting, but for now daniels original links are located at the bottom. enjoy!
