Kanzen Master N4 is the most famous book. It is the easiest one to read if you dont have a Kanji reading technique. This is why I recommend it to people who are willing to study and take the exam the N4. It is for people who have not studied the N2 level.

I think that the goal of the book is to teach you all the topics in a very thorough manner so that you can comfortably practice the material using the Kanzen System, which is a method of solving word problems based on vocabulary development. I also think the author succeeded in this goal.

We use English for our classes and we use the Kanzen System with the English grammar because its a good way for our students to practice the Kanzen System in real scenarios like using bank machines, shopping at a store and communicating with their friends.
We have found the Kanzen System to be efficient for our students because it is easy to remember and complete but still requires students to improve on their English grammar, vocabulary and listening skills. After completing the Kanzen System, we may teach them more English but not until they have learned the Kanzen System properly.

Although this is more dedicated to beginners, like myself, there are plenty of excellent information and how to’s in this book that can help an intermediate or advanced student as well. In particular, i learn a lot about headphones and how to help my ears, especially my left ear, which is a little softer than my right ear. I use these techniques for years to come! I feel like the Shin Kanzen Master books are a massive investment and it will take you years to fully master one of them, but they are a very beautiful and high quality resource, especially for the price. I got all the Shin Kanzen Master books and the online support from their site, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an entry level resource to tackling the N3 exam!
Now the online Kanzen Master tutorials ( http://kanzenmaster.com/ ) seem to be very popular among beginners. You can get a brief introduction to the course, watch a couple of video tutorials, and then complete the full-fledged course of Kanzen Master Lessons to learn the Kanzen Master material. I got a N2 N2 Kanzen Master Tutorial. Unfortunately, I cannot say that I found it as useful as the books, but I still really appreciate the downloadable PDF version and Kanzen Master review articles that I found online. I think its great that he created these Kanzen Master Review Articles for free that I can read later or even print out. There is also a lot more audio than video. Again, this might not be for beginners. The N2 Kanzen Master is for those who already know how to read kana and some Japanese. Your mileage may vary.
