Pidgin Extended BList Sort Download For PC

Pidgin Extended BList Sort is a simple, easy to use plugin designed to enable you to sort your buddy list more flexible than Pidgin does.
What it does:
Pidgin Extended BList Sort offers the possibility to sort the buddy list, users in the list (already created) or even all the users (logged and not logged), directly from the buddy list view.
One important characteristic of this plugin is that it does not use any external program, you just have to click in the sort button and, depending on the selection, the list will be sorted (this is not like in the Pidgin plugin that it depends on an external program).
There are three actions to sort the list:
– By Name
– By Date
– By Status

If you want to find more details you can read the readme.txt and readme.html files in the package.

Once you download the source code, you will see the following directories:

– plugins (if you are using the.deb package from our website)
– src (if you are running a.zip from the source)

Then you will see a file called ‘extended_b_list_sort.py’, and that file contains all the code.

What the plugin does in terms of functionality:

Sort people in your buddy list by name (alphabetical)
Sort people in your buddy list by date (dodgy)
Sort people in your buddy list by status (ready/unread/unavailable)

Notes:

Plugin can use any sort method available for the buddy list.
If you know any better way of sorting buddy list, please let us know so that we can improve the plugin.

Known Issues:

Can’t sort with multiple criteria.

Configuration:

You can configure the plugin using the configuration file located in ‘extended_b_list_sort.ini’ which is located in the directory containing your ‘extended_b_list_sort.py’
You can see the configuration file with ‘print extended_b_list_sort.extended_b_list_sort.config()’ (which is located in your plugins directory)

Pidgin Extended BList Sort, enable you to sort your buddy list more flexible than Pidgin does. It automatically updates your buddy list when you add or remove friends and groups in your contact list. It will also handle group changes and remove inactive members.

Pidgin Extended BList Sort Features:

Support grouping friend lists by groups, status, category, group and source. It will automatically keep grouping info to facilitate changes made to your contact list.

Support linking to your chat logs and other contexts. When you are editing your contact list, you can add friends to the group you are changing or update your contacts accordingly.

How to Use Pidgin Extended BList Sort:

Just launch Pidgin, go to File, Add-Ons, and then press “Install Selected” button. From your add-ons menu, go to Plugins, then you’ll find Pidgin Extended BList Sort listed. Click on the “Install Plugin” button. A window will pop up asking you to activate the plugin by clicking OK. After installation is complete, the program will automatically start when you launch Pidgin.

How to Add New Friend or Group:

To add a new friend or group to your buddy list, right click on any empty part of your friend list and then click “Add Friend or Group”. From the drop down menu, choose “Add Friend” or “Add Group”.

If you want to add a group, you can choose “Add Group” from the drop down menu, then enter the group name that you want to add in the “Group Name” box, then type the group membership list in the “Membership List” box.

If you want to add a friend, type a name for that person in the “Friend Name” box, and type the text that you want to have in that person’s status in the “Status” box.

How to Link to Your Chat Logs:

To link your chat logs to your contact list, just double click on the chat log in your buddy list. From the menu on the top, choose “Link chat logs”.

Then, enter a name for the chat log, select the number of days you want to link the chat logs to the list, click on “Add”. The link will be automatically
