i have been personally targeted by these individuals and it is not pleasant. the reason why they go after boudoir photographers is because of the nature of the work. they can easily break into a small business like mine. no doubt about that. i do keep my galleries secured but i am still a little on edge. i think you made a good point in your article when you said it takes more than just having a password to keep your site safe.

yes. i can’t promise absolute 100% security. but i can and will make sure only my clients (and some of my friends) can access their images. i always keep a close eye on my clients galleries. just like you, my clients passwords are not important to me. the fact that they are even trying to get into my galleries though is. i’ve been a professional photographer for years and i’ve worked with some of the best talent in the boudoir industry. if someone can do what they have been doing with my galleries, then i want to know about it. i’ve been outsmarted by a lot of things, but never passwords.

it’s not really your problem though, and i’m sure you don’t have the time to deal with this. maybe you should tell your readers why they shouldn’t use the same password on a web site? if you had done that in your article, you wouldn’t have to tell them what to do and you wouldn’t have to write another article with the same title. i don’t see why you would care about my opinion anyway, i could just as easily write about “my opinion” and you would be upset.

this is a huge red flag for people to be thinking to themselves that they know what they are doing. you have to lock your galleries down as soon as you put them online. they should not be accessible without a password. i always set a password in my clients galleries. if someone gets into them they will be the first place they will look for the password. my clients pay me thousands of dollars for my experience, and i would never jeopardize that.

its only a matter of time before they figure out the zenfolio email address, and then it would only be a matter of time before they start phishing for passwords. this kind of thing makes me feel like i need to close down my zenfolio site. if i do, i’ll just transfer my boudoir pics to smugmug or somewhere else. am i paranoid?
> password project voyeur premium account.rar q. now that you know what is going on, are you doing anything new to prevent any chances of someone actually making it into your galleries compared to before i already keep a close eye on the activity of my clients galleries, which is why i was able to stop anything from happening the first time, but i will be implementing more secure passwords and only keeping galleries open for a short time now. i have seen quiet a few photographers say they are also switching to in person sales only, which i think is a great idea as well!
something else that’s going on that i just found out about is that some of these guys are posing as representatives of the companies they are hacking into, and they are telling them that they are working with a group of blackmailers and they are getting back the blackmailed money. the “new owner” (the hacker) of the gallery will then take the money, and that’s when the blackmailer will contact the victim. they are not breaking in through any vulnerability in the site (which is a good thing), but are making an account with the company in good faith and then making it look like they are in charge. when the blackmailer is trying to get money back, the blackmailer may give the victim instructions to make payments to another account, and the victim thinks they are doing the right thing, but it actually is a trap to steal their money. this is why i think it is a good idea to change passwords often, and to not give out the original ones.
