the error ‘internal error encountered’ is only encountered when the system enters a state where it can not recover from itself. this usually happens when someone disables a service/component or removes the battery. the most common errors are due to the battery being missing or insufficient.

there are two types of errors: errors that appear the moment a rider tries to start the system. these are detected by the firmware before it has even been loaded and are impossible to fix. you can, however, press the reset button to clear the memory of the last error.

depending on whether the display is on or off, the next easiest way to erase these errors is to shut off the display (not to remove the battery or to operate the display without a cable). please note, however, that this measure does not influence the accuracy of the sensor, its only a preventive measure. riders who still want to know the exact sensor status can remove the display cable. often a new motor will be affected to some extent by this error. to avoid this, wait for the temperature to drop to 3 degrees before riding.

the error codes 27 to 31 appear because the magnetic field of the magnet is too large. at the end of the field, the sensor adjusts the motor speed in order to bring it back to zero. the reduced sensor signal then leads to the error code 32. the sensor function is nevertheless considered successful. (error code 32 is more a design feature than a fault). in order to prevent this, check your magnets, particularly those on the rear wheel, regularly.

the sensor voltage is either too high or too low (values between +20 and +80 percent). if the sensor is started, the “green” light is on. if the sensor signal rises too fast and then stabilizes, the charge level should be checked. if the signals are too low or stable, the sensor is to be removed from the motor.
