guru nanak dev ji, the sikh guru, was a great scholar and teacher. his teachings are written in the holy scripture ‘guru granth sahib’ and ‘sri guru granth sahib geeta’ in the gurmukhi script. he was a great reformer and a genius. he is the founder of the religion of sikhism. he had no religion of his own. he was a reformer and a genius. he was the founder of sikhism. the reason for his forming of this religion was that he felt that the hinduism was not good and he wanted to establish a new religion.

guru nanak dev ji, the founder of sikhism, was born in the year 1469, in the village talwandi, which is located in the punjab region of the indian subcontinent. the village, now known as nankana sahib, is situated near the city of lahore in present day pakistan.

on this occasion of the sarovar’s completion, bhai isher singh ji was invited to the sacred place where he had an opportunity of observing for himself the holyness of the place. the place was called as “nanaksar.” he was pleased and did not think of returning to his previous place of service. thereafter the devotees and baba ji started performing daily seva in the sarovar. it became more and more famous day by day. at that time many devotees were scattered all over the world and in all cases the tradition of giving sant isher singh ji bhai bhai bhai sukh sashtat, performed. bhai bhai bhai sukh sashtat is a punjabi phrase which means “the love, respect and acceptance of bhai isher singh ji”. it implies the respect for an individual’s devotion and is not to be misunderstood as a mere formality. at this time thousands of devotees began to visit the holy place. soon baba ji constructed one gurdwara at four places, namely, jalandhar, ludhiana, patiala and amritsar. he also constructed a new office in the large compound at nanaksar. he named this place as ‘bhabha ki pauri’. (the body is in lord’s lotus feet). this he did because he realized that the devotees needed a place where they could sit and meditate. the devotees after having their food in the sarovar, would sit on the floor in the compound and meditate and in the evenings they would sing and offer prayers. the devotees would spend time in their free will. baba ji also constructed a new door in the main entrance to the compound. he named this as the ‘door of good luck’.

JUnaami – You do not need to apologise, and I have not taken offense, however reading through this thread, it does appear that you are defending Nanaksar, and thus, as a Nanaksar Sikhi, you are actively participating in the blantent lies and subterfuge that Nanaksar has come to be associated with. A honest, genuinely religious person would not seek to justify such a destructive lifestyle, and you are not in my eyes. You did not send me an apology when you first began the thread, however on reflection, you do not need one. I have no issue with your individual lifestyle (or any others you do not relate to) but you are not that person, so I know that you are not, in fact, from Nanaksar Jatha. Maybe you are a maryada follower, maybe not, but you have revealed your personal bias here.
I felt it was necessary to respond to as many of the points you’ve made as possible. One of the best ways to dispel ignorance of Nanaksar is to continue to share what it is about and the true spirit of all the Nanaksar because when we do, we can lay down the perception that it is ‘Perfect.’ However, keep the banter from taking off course and instead focusing on the true goal of all Gurdwaras.
Hello karamjeet, you really are a bit fasey and maybe a bit simple minded, i mean no offense btw. I was all for western means to finance Guru Dev’s path here in Amritsar, what i meant was the corrupt system of getting money from westerners for satsangs. There is no money for Nanaksar, all donations go to support civilised activities for the Guru, Nanaksar and lower income people. So by no means am i saying ‘baba jee’ was all wrong, he was a man, he did make mistakes, he did promise a lot of things but he was a man, just like we are. he was a human being, we are all human beings, but if baba jee was to give up his position he would loose absolutely nothing in his religion, it would be like going on a diet. Give up your position? Baba jee has no position here, he is no where. Do you know where he is? even if he was here baba jee would be in seva. he is a holy man, we all revere him as a holy man. what we all revere is the Guru, like i said, if baba jee were to go, and others are saying he would lose all his position, in gurbani baba jee is like the inner voice of Guru Sahib, what he says comes from Guru Sahib, he is like a bhagat or any of our saints, he helps us all, he IS Guru Sahib, he is not ordinary human being. If baba jee goes then where does it leave us? Also did you know that baba jee told us all to read and follow Guru Sahib, even the way of living, every single one of us should go and follow Guru Sahib. He calls for every single person.
