MhcFS2 is a utility designed to provide high-level mathematical calculations to help you solve some problems in science, engineering, math, and other areas of study.

Anybody remember TMKS (TCP/IP Mapping Kit), DOS, and PTFS? PTFS being the filesystem that Windows NT and later Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7 can all read, write, and use for all purpose. PTFS was so good, they even included it with Windows XP and later Windows editions.
The problem is, there was always an alternative to read, write and use PTFS.
PTFS was a standard for block level removable disks. But it was limited to 10Gb/sec. Hint: read the above paragraph.
What was that alternative? It was a proprietary file system called NTFS (NT File System).
Both PTFS and NTFS were IBM developed technologies, and both are used, but Microsoft still thought NTFS was a better idea.
During the NTFS development Microsoft was criticized for copying the ideas of NTFS, especially the patented vender lock mechanism, from IBM. This is the basis for the lawsuit against Microsoft for stealing other technology, which resulted in IBM paying out.
NTFS not only copied the ideas, it also copied a lot of IBM copyrighted technologies, including many of the vender lock features.
But back to the point.
Both NTFS and PTFS were useless because neither is a universal filesystem, they are block level devices.
This means that while they both can read and write to a removable media, they don’t understand how to access the data.
For example, a typical FAT32 filesystem will list the data on a removable media as if it was on the computer it is mounted on.
However, in the case of NTFS or PTFS, the data is not listed on the removable media, it is arranged in a specific fashion.
This is the way that Windows NT and later Windows editions make use of NTFS and PTFS on removable media.
If you are not using Windows NT or later Windows editions, you will need to either find some other method to read and write to a removable media, or purchase some software that will let you read and write to NTFS and PTFS.
