because most cameras are shipped with the factory firmware, you will need to update the firmware if you have a problem with the basic functions. it is suggested that you use the update to update the firmware before installing a new software application. (you do not need to do this if you are updating the firmware as a result of problems with the software application.)

as a precautionary measure, we recommend that you back up your files and other important data. this is especially important if you are in the process of updating the firmware. the camera will not recover from a corrupted firmware update.

i would like to know what changes did i make to the firmware. i have noticed a few differences in the update but i am not sure about it. it is likely that the changes were made during the process of making the marlin firmware work with 3d touch. i am not a programmer and all this “new” stuff was a bit over my head. i was lucky that a few days ago (after i received the dragon from the manufacturer) i found a forum, where i could ask for help. i will try to explain myself better in this post.

i have to admit that this is not my first attempt on dragon box firmware. i have tried, but i am sure that there are a lot of bugs in the code. i’ve tried to copy the github code and the same old bugs.

i have also noticed a few changes to the updater. the most important one is that the updater now shows a summary of the firmware that was last loaded. it is a very welcome feature. the summary also contains some information about the dragon box and the manufacturer.
