The tool can be modelled in two ways, one is the automatic option and the other is the manual option. The automatic tool is the way to save time as you can create a tool with one of the many different features Delcam offers, such as punching, milling, drilling, etc. You can even create a variety of parameters of cutting tools such as your own ideal cutting tool parameters.
Once the tool has been created, the tool can then be imported into PowerMILL and the original tool can then be automatically milled to produce an ideal tool.

Delcam Electronics company has a separate legal status, so we have never been under 100% Delcam ownership. Cedexis does not own Delcam Electronics, but is a very significant client of Delcam Software, and is able to directly interact with Delcam development teams. As a result, Cedexis is able to use the Delcam PowerSHAPE CAD system in ways which could not otherwise be done.

All CNC machines are fully networked and programmed via Delcam Powermill on the shop floor

The electrode data can be exported from the Delcam Electrode module to CAD format, for example Adobe Photoshop DGN, AutoCAD DWG or PDF. Once designed in Delcam Electrode, the electrode data can be exported to standard machines and imported into the appropriate tool for the manufacturing process.

With the use of Delcam PowerMILL, users can export the STL files of the cutting paths produced. This facilitates the creation of an automatically machining system. You can also create and save cutting paths using an automated machining system.
Software from Delcam Electrode combines Delcams PowerSHAPE CAD software, PowerMILL CAM system and PowerINSPECT inspection software to give a completely integrated solution for the design, machining and inspection of electrodes. At the heart of the Delcam solution is a novel file format the.Trode file. This contains all the information for each electrode project, including not only the electrode design but also the machining and inspection information, plus the set-up sheets for its manufacture and use. Having all the required information in a single file simplifies data management as well as increasing overall efficiency.

The Robot-polishing cell is equipped with a Motoman Robotics robot and two additional axis that should be implemented into Delcam PowerMILL Robot. After several test runs and adaption to the model first tool path tests were performed. The basic functions of the software and the implemented cell were tested successfully and can now be adjusted and enhanced in the next weeks / months.
