Keymacro is an alternative to the default Mac OS X behavior for selecting text with the keyboard, allowing users to select text by holding down keys and then hitting another key. The selection is stored and can be recalled with the current keyboard focus.
This works for in-line and block text selection.
KEYMACRO’s widget is modal. That is, when you click on it, it covers the desktop, effectively replacing it. It can be moved off screen to the right side of the desktop, leaving the desktop available for use.
Additionally, KEYMACRO provides controls to hide and show the selection widget. This provides the ability to easily hide the widget while working on text.

WIDGETS
There are three widget layers:
The normal text widget that contains the selected text, text formatting, and other basic controls.
The selection widget contains the selection – the text that has been marked for replacement. This widget is modal, and will hide your desktop when activated.
The marker widget – provides a tabbed interface to help organize the text. The markers can have different colors, with one marker representing text with a particular font color. The markers are automatically placed so that they are close to the place where the selection starts.
