Torq 2.0.3 includes completely new touch sensitive functions, new skin for drag and drop, more buttons and sliders have been added to make the interface cleaner and more user friendly. .Osteosynthetic fixation of anterior cruciate ligament rupture: a biomechanical study.
This study tested the hypothesis that an all-inside-type autogenous hamstring tendon is as strong, and possibly stronger, than an all-inside type autogenous bone-patellar tendon-bone autogenous bone graft to retain a bone tunnel site for the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. Four femoral bone tunnels were created in six paired human cadaveric knees. Each pair of grafts (bone-patellar tendon-bone autograft and hamstrings tendon) was inserted into each of the four femoral tunnels. The graft was then reattached to the tibia in the same manner as the ACL attachment. All testing was done with an ACL force of 150 N at a cross-leg stance angle of 45 degrees and a knee extension angle of 90 degrees. Testing was performed to failure in the following order: (1) take-off load, (2) cyclic loading to failure, (3) displacement at 1,000 cycles to failure, and (4) stiffness testing to failure. The tests on the all-inside tendon grafts were repeated five more times using an anterior tibial tunnel in the right knee and an all-inside tibial tunnel in the left knee. After testing failed, the specimens were sectioned and analyzed using a computed tomography (CT) scanner, and the mode of graft failure was determined as either tendon failure or bone tunnel failure. The take-off load failure loads were significantly higher for the all-inside tibial tunnels than for the all-inside femoral tunnels (P =.043). No significant difference was found between the all-inside femoral tunnels with the all-inside tibial tunnels (P =.559). All the take-off load failure loads for the all-inside femoral tunnels were less than the failure loads in five of the six cases and were greater in the remaining case. In one of the six cases, a bone tunnel failure was identified in the all-inside tibial tunnel.
