A Critical provides a 5% chance to increase final damage dealt when critical hits are generated. Can critical builds even generate critical hits? Tools that are tuned for criticals can and will provide those chances. Some better criticals can even grant more than one critical hit per shot with the right build. But if we consider that criticals are almost always more than just a critical hit, taken in tandem with the bonus damage one gets from Increase Max Health or Finesse, this can be quite a strong weapon. Since critcals generate hit sounds when they occur, ammo is often wasted since no other action buttons can be used with the same efficiency. Better Criticals grants a 50% bonus to critical damage. This obviously boosts the damage output of the weapon, but only a handful of perks can grant that sort of damage bonus as by definition better criticals is an absurd amount of damage per second. Combine this with a Critical, especially on a weapon that already has great critical damage potential, and you’re looking at a true multiplier. Bullet time is a best-case scenario, but aspect of the Chimera will do until it gets buffed up.

After completing the quest “Leaving Las Vegas”, Trader will give you the bottle of Mr. Scurvy’s Elixir. Mr. Scurvy’s Elixir will increase the damage of your weapons, adding extra damage if it’s used as more than a catalyst. Delta will also increase the damage of your weapons.

As in Fallout 3, a weapon is considered “heavy” if its weight is 80% or more of its own full weight. Heavy weapons are generally more powerful than light weapons, but the number of uses they get depends on the weapon. Firing Heavy Weapons deals more damage than firing Light Weapons, but Heavy Weapons only works when reloading Heavy Weapons. This is important when building a weapon runner and allows for weapon permutations. With a few Perks, your weapon runner is already pretty powerful, but you can include any of these Perks as long as it can fire Heavy Weapons.
