Expectations:
Uhh, well…I had an image in my head when I watched the trailers and it wasn’t interesting. After playing the game, I couldn’t recommend it so much but it’s not bad.

A lot of interesting gameplay elements are present in this game. It does seem to be a point and click adventure, but I think the distinction between the two types of gameplay is blurred. In the sense that dialogue choices and actions taken will alter the game world. Since it is a turn based game however, the end of the game will basically take place with player options. You still have to make choices and the game will respond to them. I find it strange that the latter type of game features a more pointed dialogue system. I think it would be preferable if the two types of play were combined. Since you are in control of when the player actions are taken, it is the more natural form of gameplay. There is also a multiplayer component that is not tied to any of the story based game play.
If you have played the previous New World games, you will feel right at home with this game. The concept and graphics are very similar. You can advance the plot and help the company in their struggle for survival. The game is much slower in real time but the combat is exceptionally fluid and it makes the game quite entertaining. If you have played New World you will recognize it. If you have not played New World, I recommend checking it out.
GRAPHICS:
In the previous New World games, the graphics were serviceable. They were not fancy but they were not terrible. However, this game looks very nice. The graphics do not leave you wanting more. The game follows the normal fantasy graphic design.
I especially like the aesthetics in the game. The characters have a very human feel to them. They are not cartoonish. The level design is very interesting. It is not filled with hollow spaces but rather is filled with many different buildings and objects. The world feels very alive. The different towns are not just a collection of buildings but rather are distinct. I love that the main town is not filled with crummy buildings. The level of detail in the graphics is stunning. I really enjoy looking around at the buildings. It is like peeking into the next game.
MUSIC:
The music in this game is actually quite pleasing. The tunes are not catchy but the music is actually quite good. The use of the opera music is very nostalgic. There is a great range of music used in the game.
GAMEPLAY:
There is no question that this game is designed to be a turn based RPG. There is no way to play this game with real time

android: Change The Height Of Checkboxes In CheckboxList
I am trying to change the height of checkboxes in a CheckboxList so that they are scrollable.
I was going about it by doing this in my XML code:
android:layout_height=”wrap_content”
But when I run the program the CheckboxList just renders with all checkboxes as blank.
However, changing the height from wrap_content to be able to view them works (especially as my CheckboxList is pretty long) as all of the checkboxes are rendered as black.

If you look at the default_theme.xml file, the “android:listSelector” property is set to “?android:attr/selectableItemBackground”.
What I did was I just went into my styles.xml file and changed it to this:

Global Blockbuster RPG Gets a Passionate Demo
Every young boy dreams of growing up to be a hero of legends. To some, this fantasy world of truth, chivalry, and magic comes easily. To others, it’s a lofty fantasy that remains just a dream. The adventures of a sword-wielding, bear-riding hero offered on the palm of your hand is not for everyone. But ultimately, it’s meant to touch us all, and it hits all points of the noble heart.
I was about to slap down the review, but then I saw the Demo Screenshot and realized this isn’t just a Marketing Simulacrum. This is a game with style that didn’t need a press release to attract our attention.
Project Smurf
Project Smurf is one year into their move to the PS4. They started in August 2012, and to say they’ve had a rough road to get here would be an understatement. Smurf’s decision to tackle the PS4 in a role-playing game at such a late stage of development was met with near-universal opposition. A few companies (including 2K) had even turned down the opportunity to publish Project Smurf because their game wasn’t coming out on the PS3 for another year. Then, the audience lost their hearts to MMOs. When Smurf showed off some of their own well-established games, the skeptical in the community weren’t sure that their staff was capable of turning this project into a reality. With an alright sense of humor and a refusal to take their failures seriously, Project Smurf decided to experiment with the fans who had been cheering them on from the beginning. That’s where we are today.
You can tell that the team has refined their gameplay since the release of Smurfette on the PlayStation Vita. It does a much better job of adapting to the touchscreen nature of the PlayStation Vita. The graphics are brighter and more varied. The combat is more fluid than the WiiU development team wanted to give us, but I think you’ll agree that a little more time with it will improve the player’s experience of each mission.

A few weeks ago, we got a chance to check out a brand-new action RPG that was made by a new indie studio that has just recently released their first title Rise, Tarnished. Now the game is finally out on the GOG site, which means it’s time to check it out and see if it’s worth your time. We don’t often talk about free-to-play in this column because it gets old really quickly, so let’s see how the game stacks up in my eyes.
RISE, Tarnished is a fantasy RPG set in the Lands Between, where heroes need to band together to survive in an unforgiving world. The main character is a knight named Tarnished, who is looking to prove his worth to King Chadron, the ruler of the land. His current monarch is facing a rebellion led by the iron-willed, dark elf elf called Luna. This is the perfect opportunity for us to explain the difference between fantasy versus sci-fi, because in the Lands Between, you live in a fantasy world where all of your characters can have access to (almost) any weapon or armor. That being said, you’re still a knight, so you’re limited to using only swords, shields, and armor. That’s the tradeoff in this world.

If I can say this then I wrote this.
Yes, I’m a first time Tarnished Chronicles player who is having fun with Grandia the Battle for the Blood Emblem. Yes, I’m a second time player who has played the English version Grandia, and the thing is that Grandia remake is for sure one of the best I’ve ever played.
I’ve tried to explore every corner of this vast and beautiful world, and as result I became more and more convinced of this game’s greatness. As you know, almost every video game nowadays become ‘engrossing’ at some point of its gameplay. This is not the case with Tarnished Chronicles. As usual when I’ve been in a video game, when I’ve finished the first time-loop I’ve discovered the game became monotonous. Whenever there were no new enemies for example, I’d got bored from shooting them down. However this time, this new Grandia is different. Almost all the levels have been designed in a way that would make you think to skip a few. This is one of the things that make Grandia different. Its graphics, its music, and the story, even how its objectives are given to you, and the thing is that all of these things are great.
Thanks to the tough difficulty, the fighting-mechanic is awesome. When you get hit, you get no damage! And not only that but when you become invincible you can start attacking without being attacked, and the illusionary effect won’t kill you. And the best thing is that you can start attacking even when you take damage, so you could just attack and gain your attemps, and finish. And one more important thing is the fact that you can’t die by accident, except by falling down. Sometimes when you’re falling you lose some oppurtunities to attack, but you don’t take damage. Also there are enemies that can attack you while you’re hanging from the edge of a platform. The reason for this is that this is the only way to perform as many attemps as you want. Another achievement is the fact that when you’re short on health, you’ll get more time to perform attemps, by attacking enemies or killing them while they’re about to attack you, more time for attemps, less time for damage.
And this little Tarnished Chronicles is not just all about attemps and
