The results were surprising: when it comes to lifetime hookups, over half of U.S. women between the ages of 30 and 44 have three or more lifetime partners. While the authors say that if it’s a matter of satisfying one’s sexual needs, then the number of people one has sex with is more important than how many partners one has, it’s not ideal for long-term health.
